Putting communities in charge

Lasting conservation is built in workshops, not just in the field. Through CREMA training and partnerships, we equip communities to govern the forests and wildlife around them.

Why Workshops

Governance that communities own

A Community Resource Management Area (CREMA) helps communities become organised and deliberate about how they use their natural resources.

Our workshops give local stewards the structures and skills to make sound decisions β€” and give organisations and government a partner to work through. Alongside CREMA training, CA convenes partners around the data and tools that make conservation measurable, including the launch of the BID-AF2020-029-USE biodiversity-information project.

Empowered local stewards are the backbone of community-led conservation.
