The Pesticide Action Program (PAP) of CA is to strengthen the role of civil society organizations in multi-stakeholder partnerships contribute to the development and implementation of new and innovative strategies to enhance the socioecological health of the cocoa growing landscapes. The four main areas of focus include

- Basis for review of the Chemical Control Act 249, 1994.
- Digital innovation for detecting approved and unapproved pesticides.
- Multi-Stakeholder Platform on Pesticides
- Strengthening of Highly Hazardous Pesticide (HHP) Working Group, Ghana.
- Involves all relevant state and non state actors in the pesticide value chain.
- Nationwide sensitization undertaken with involvement of communities, traditional authorities and the district assemblies.
- National Biodiversity Committee plays a critical role.
- Local Community Participation
- Critical mass for advocacy and capacity building on pesticides and improving ecological health of production landscapes.
- Focus on elimination of the use of unapproved pesticides.
- Promotion of IPM through farmer-led field demonstration plots.
- Avenue to deepen local discussion and dialogue on EU Due Diligence regulations on living income, human rights and deforestation within the commodity value chain.
