POLICY AND GOVERNANCE
CA promotes public policies that seek to enhance the sustainable use of natural resources by individuals, companies and institutions. We partner with government agencies, research institutions, private sector and communities in changing the behaviour of people towards to the use of biodiversity.
CA participates in policy dialogue and review biodiversity strategies including Climate Change, Forest and Wildlife policies and makes appropriate recommendations. CA is an active member of the National Biodiversity Committee and a member of the International Partnership for Satoyama Initiative (IPSI).
Currently, CA is working with the Environmental Protection Agency, JAK foundation and NYCOB in advocating for the implementation of Business and Biodiversity Offset program (BBOP) in Ghana. The objective of this movement is to position biodiversity and ecosystems at the heart of Ghana’s development process.
