Cocoa Watch is a platform for organizations working on cocoa to contribute positively to the development and the sustainability of the cocoa industry and welfare of the small holder producers in Africa
VISION
Promote the development of the cocoa industry in Africa.
MISSION
To work with strategic partners and organizations to promote the sustainability of the cocoa industry through the adoption of best production practices, fair returns to producer and industry and quality products.
OBJECTIVES
Promote the adoption of best production practices to support increased production of quality cocoa.
Provide a platform for stakeholder dialogue and action to support sustainable cocoa economy in Africa.
Promote the integration of environmental issues into cocoa production landscape.
Advocate equitable returns for all players on cocoa value chain
Promote producer welfare through formation of new farmer organizations,
and strengthening of existing organizations.
Promote women’s participation in decision making at all levels, addressing critical issues underpinning the economic and social status of African women and children, and engaging in policy dialogue thereby bringing the concerns of the vulnerable to fore in the designs of programs
Engage governments and industry to promote policies and practices that will enhance the cocoa industry in Africa.
