BIODIVERSITY DATA MANAGEMENT

Conservation Alliance International (CA) manages biodiversity data primarily to support evidence-based decision-making, landscape restoration, and sustainable natural resource management, particularly
in Ghana.

Key efforts include, in collaboration with the UN Development Programme, mapping data for the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF) and funding through the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF)’s Biodiversity Information for Development (BID) program for integrating biodiversity data into policy decision making process.

Key aspects of our biodiversity data work include:

Data Integration and Mapping: CA focuses on mapping biodiversity data to enhance monitoring and data use for decision making..

Capacity Support: CA actively supports national actions by improving biodiversity information management systems through capacity building.

Corporate Collaboration: CA helps corporations manage biodiversity risks and opportunities by integrating data into their operational strategies.
